Townhomes offer flexibility, convenience

With the ever-increasing demand on the rise for multiple storey townhomes, individuals are finding more creative ways of using the vertical living space.
“Townhouse living has become more and more popular because it offers a whole host of living options,” Marie Wilkinson, Sales and Marketing Director for property developer George Wimpy, explained. Adding, “For example, the bedroom on the middle level could easily be used as a study, games room or nursery.”
Financial services provider Nationwide, has conducted a study revealing that adding an additional bedroom to a house can augment the value of a home by up to 6%.
Ms. Wilkinson, also commented that rooms on the middle floor of a three-storey house can be continually adapted to suit the ever-changing needs of a family; whether for young children or elder parents.
Some townhome owners who seek extra monthly income could even let one level out to either a university student or a young single person just starting out, with very little disruption to privacy.
Both young professionals, families and home letting investors are advised that adapting their property - possibly through the use of a home loan - could prove very beneficial in the near or long-term.
